Movies you should probably watch if you haven’t, aka my guilty pleasures.

I’m a sucker for romantic-comedies, or dramedies, or anything mushy romantic. Also for movies that deal with psychological issues like depression, schizophrenia, or just basically relationship issues.

(left-right, starting with top row) Titles are linked to their IMDb pages. :-)

Ruby Sparks (2012) - what if you can make your characters come to life? That’s what happened to Calvin, who wakes up one morning and finds his dream girl, literally the girl in his dreams, alive and cooking in his kitchen after spending days and nights writing about her. Stars

Like Crazy (2011) - This is one of the two movies here that I haven’t watched yet. So maybe you can just click the link. Stars Felicity Jones, Anton Yelchin and Jennifer Lawrence.

It’s Kind of a Funny Story (2010) - This movie’s very popular here in Tumblr so you’ve probably heard about this. It’s about this kid who gets depressed and checks himself in a mental hospital after not having the courage to kill himself. He meets different characters inside the mental ward and learns a few things here and there. Stars Keir Gilchrist, Emma Roberts and Zach Galifianakis. Based on the novel by the late Ned Vizzini of the same name.

The Spectacular Now (2013) - Sutter is the kind of person who believes in the now. After he meets Aimee, his philosophy in life gets challenged, even more when Aimee gets into an accident because of him. The story revolves on their plans after high school and whether or not to go to college. Stars Miles Teller and Shailene Woodley.

Stuck in Love (2012) - Samantha and her family struggles to maintain being a family after their mother left and they are all struggling about what love really means, or what love really is. Then comes Louis into their lives and everything changes for all of them. Stars Lily Collins, Logan Lerman, Jennifer Connelly, Nat Wolff, and Greg Kinnear.

Take This Waltz (2011) - The other film I haven’t watched yet so click the link. Stars Michelle Williams, Seth Rogen, Luke Kirby and Sarah Silverman.

The First Time (2012) - Basically a coming-of-age movie, talks about relationship and sex. But it will definitely hit you hard because Dylan O’Brien is adorable. Stars Britt Robertson and Dylan O’Brien.

Celeste & Jesse Forever (2012) - Something that everyone who’s ever been in a relationship has tried to do. Celeste & Jesse are divorced, but they still live with each other and try to still be the best friends that they were, despite the disapproval of their friends. Stars Andy Samberg, Rashida Jones, and Elijah Wood (who plays a gay boss or something)

About Time (2013) - Everyone has probably heard of this movie. If you have the power to go back in time, what would you re-do? It’s an adorable movie that will also make you cry. I don’t want to spoil anything because of my love for Bill Nighy. Stars Rachel McAdams, Domhnall Gleeson, and Bill Nighy.

Well, there you go! Hope you enjoy watching this films as much as I did. :-) Have a great weekend ahead!
